  What you do:

•  Identify and manage complex problems, make testable hypotheses and make a significant impact on the business.
• Lead the design and analysis of experiments to test ideas or develop causal and predictive models.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to influence changes in production systems and provide input to other teams. 
• Communicate your findings to technical and non-technical audiences. Keep our team and project up to date with new developments in ML and statistics by reading articles and attending conferences and local events. Create and automate model pipelines in Python services. 

What it takes to succeed:

•  We expect a bachelor's degree or  equivalent work experience.
• Education in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, statistics, econometrics, applied mathematics, physics, etc. 
• Experience with data analysis/statistical software and packages (pandas/statsmodels/sklearn in Python, R, etc.). 
• Experience with predictive modeling/machine learning, forecasting, or causal inference. Love to write beautiful code;
• You don't need to be an expert, but experience is helpful and we expect you to learn on the job.
• Proven ability for applied research,  curiosity to find promising solutions to new problems, and determination to take your ideas  to their final destination. Motivation develops deep product and business knowledge and connects abstract modeling and analysis tasks with business value. Nice to work in a Unix environment.
