•  This position is a member of the IT team in the IT department. Responsible for assisting staff in all aspects of end-user computing, including software/hardware, upgrading desktop/laptop and peripheral systems, and general maintenance. what will you do
•  Configure, install, monitor and maintain IT users' desktop software and hardware; supports a mobile workforce
•  Consults IT users on all matters related to end-user computing and desktop LAN system software
•  You are responsible for comprehensively owning, resolving and communicating with employee issues
•  Provides on-site training for users
•  Resolves and closes tickets/work orders supporting desktop and remote end users
•  Respond to customer support issues received by the help desk
•  Participates in desktop projects (global installations/upgrades) as a project team member
•  Remote diagnostics and request resolution with remote tools
•  Resolves and works with other departments to assist with infrastructure  issues
•  Document client interactions in the case management system, including asset management
•  Recovers data from a hard drive and/or performs a data transfer
•  Supports remote VPN access and wireless/broadband  for laptops
•  Install and configure local and network  printers
•  Performs preventive maintenance
•  Work different shifts, on holidays, on duty and field trips as needed
•  Follows administrative instructions in accordance with IT policies and procedures
•  Performs other duties as requested
•  Shifts include nights, weekends and occasional holidays

 Minimum requirements - education and previous work experience

•  University of Applied Sciences degree in computer science, information systems or similar field or similar work experience/training
•  3 years of verifiable hands-on IT work experience supporting and troubleshooting various computer desktop software and hardware issues
•  You must have direct experience supporting desktop computers in a Windows/TCPIP environment
