 The Freight Account Manager reports directly to the Area Sales Manager and is responsible for growing freight revenue and market share (focusing on commissions). This is accomplished by creating new and  existing sales programs with freight forwarders and other types of accounts within a defined geographic sales area.

•  Customer managers manage the assigned sales area mainly through personal sales calls from the sales office.
•  Account managers must plan their sales activities according to current sales strategies and a thorough analysis of account and market data.
•  The Account Manager must provide timely sales plans and performance reports to their manager  to support  position, territory, market, department and company-wide objectives. Accountable for meeting or exceeding measurable key performance indicators. Uses sales force automation technology to access account information and identify sales  opportunities.
•  Practices safety conscious behavior in all work processes and procedures.

 WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

•  He or she is at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
•  Possesses a high school diploma, GED or high school equivalency. Always prioritizes the safety  of self, others and personal information. Covers different people, thoughts and styles.
•  Should have general knowledge of company procedures and policies.
•  Must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Must be willing to work extra hours and/or days as needed.  Required for overnight business trips to cities that may be outside  the designated area. Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and the WebVISion system.
•  We require written and verbal communication skills.
