 The Server Center Construction Manager is responsible for managing construction projects and overseeing construction-related activities as they relate to new buildings or general capital projects, which includes  ownership of  project scope, quality, schedule and budget. Some of the typical day-to-day duties of a construction manager include:

 Direct interface with general construction  contractors at the bidding, contracting, execution and project completion/scheduling stage. Negotiate with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals in detail and accurately. Create a construction project scope and request  proposals. Economic analysis of construction.  Construction project management of certain projects aimed at increasing the flexibility of our data centers. Buildable estimates of electrical and mechanical plans related to building new data centers or optimizing existing data centers. Management of construction documents including submittal review, RFIs, change orders and invoices. Quality control of construction projects. Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management. Leads teams in equipment troubleshooting and basic failure analysis. Lead data center support groups and internal and external teams.

 BASIC STUDIES

•  Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction management or similar engineering field OR
•  years of equivalent management experience in the construction industry in lieu of a degree.
•   5 years of experience in the construction  of large and complex projects involving large mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) plants. 
•  years of experience managing general contractors and suppliers involved in construction and project implementation (bids, procurement, change orders, quality control, RFI/submission follow-up).
•  years of experience in the construction of electrotechnical systems, including large-scale power distribution/generation equipment and  mechanical engineering systems, including cooling systems.
