The creative director plans, develops, implements and increases the understanding of project design. You will collaborate with studio management, publishing partners and project managers, ensuring  project requirements are met and a great player experience remains at the forefront. You will act as  a leader and  mentor, fostering a team culture of collaboration, engagement and empowerment. Key Functions/Responsibilities

•  Create a game design vision and rally the development team and external partners around that vision
•  Work with project managers and executives to balance priorities and set clear  development goals
•  Provide leadership and direction to design team members to achieve their optimal performance 
•  Lead team performance  in a way that encourages innovation and creativity by creating and codifying best practices and processes.
•  Work with all areas to ensure  game features and systems meet specifications and the high quality Boss Fight bar
•  Continue to drive understanding, alignment, and excitement about design features both within the team and with external partners
•  Continually provide constructive feedback and suggestions and solutions for process and project improvement to all stakeholders and team members 
•  Act as a player  on the team based on experience, research, playtest data and feedback to create a great player experience
•  Be accountable for  project quality goals and results achieved
•  Manage a library of shared resources, including game design and process documentation
•  Own the design of the next generation of key features of Boss Fight products
•  Demonstrate reliability, accountability and professionalism in all work-related interactions
•  Lead by example, create a strong sense of purpose and community, foster a culture of excellence and inclusion, encourage a sustainable work-life balance.

 Skills and Abilities:

•  Proven leadership fundamentals, including clear and proactive communication, exceptional coaching and mentoring  skills, and meeting moderation
•  Able to manage multiple competing tasks and be self-directed to complete responsibilities in a fast-paced environment without direction.
•  Ability to effectively coordinate and manage the design team's agenda
•  We can guide, manage, de-escalate and prioritize  you and your team in stressful situations
•  Excellent attention to detail and a strong desire to iterate and improve processes
•  Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good communication and presentation at all levels of the company, especially to key stakeholders and publishers
•  Ability to review and create game design documentation, including core game systems, game mechanics, user interface design, and narrative content

 Education and experience

•  3 years of managing projects and teams with creative leadership 
•  10 years of experience in game design or other related creative  game development
•  Experience working with games using product management/analytics to design systems and features that respond to real-world user data and player behavior.
•  At least one full design cycle from inception to live  on a high-profile F2P title, either as Design Director or Creative Director or equivalent
