 The Data Center  Manager is the primary point of contact and is responsible for all data center services provided by Critical Facilities in New York and New Jersey. This role leads, directs or acts as a liaison with relevant teams to deliver all critical facility services; supplier management, mechanical, electrical, compliance (MEP) and fire safety (FLS), physical security, facility operation and service delivery (FOSD), logistics (transportation, receiving and storage), e-waste, media destruction and data center design consultancy.

 This position is responsible for understanding and authorizing  maintenance and service operations for all data center infrastructure components, including compliance with company employee safety guidelines. This role is responsible for uniform availability of all hosted IT equipment by enforcing standard installation protocols for redundancy and versatile use of power, cooling and networks. This position must possess and maintain strong business and financial acumen, as this position is responsible for all  budgets, forecasts, performance and 10-year plans.

What you do:

•  The Server Center Site Manager works with critical facilities, customers, peer groups, and works on independent projects as assigned. Responsibilities include:
•  Support of the Enterprise Technology customer base and  Enterprise Technology team members
•  Provider and contract management (local service providers and service providers)
•  Financial management - annual action plan (budget),  proposals, tenders, purchase orders, invoices, periods and forecasts
•  Conduct monitoring, auditing and reporting
•  Records management - creation, maintenance and retirement of policies, procedures, processes, tool data
•  Manage and provide 2x7x365 FOSD services (installation, modification, decommissioning, repair and accident assistance)
•  Logistics management (shipping, receiving and warehousing)
•  Provide on-call support and 1-hour on-site response to events or support issues
•  Diagnose, document and address technical issues using the Enterprise Technology ticketing system

 Must be:

•  5 years data center support; knowledge and practical experience in data center infrastructure systems including power, cooling, fire protection, physical security, cabling, infrastructure and IT equipment installation and environmental monitoring.
•  Server center infrastructure management tools, IT equipment installation, general application and system support
•  Must be willing to work  weekends and holidays
