 We are looking for a hands-on data scientist to lead key cross-functional projects in the energy and automotive industries using data  tools and techniques to automate business processes and support sales and service strategies using our data.

 what are you doing

•  Be involved in all phases of data science projects: from transforming a complex business problem into a data science problem, to  data analysis and modeling, and providing solutions to the business. Collaborating with data analysts, data engineers, machine learning (ML) engineers, and product managers, develops and supports complex data pipelines that support our team's mission to democratize data and build a data organization.
•  Effectively communicates applicable knowledge to all levels of the organization with a diverse information science understanding and background.
•  Work closely with management, engineering and other stakeholders to deliver effective business insights.
•   Apply a variety of ML, advanced analytics, and visualization techniques to diverse datasets across the enterprise.

 what you bring

•  MISSING or 2 years of equivalent experience in a quantitative field (eg, information science, applied mathematics, business analysis, operations research, statistics, computer science, artificial intelligence, economics, or engineering).
•  Results oriented, strong business acumen and deep data science skills.
•   Strong written, verbal and  communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
•  Demonstrated experience in data mining and building ML models with a special focus on business analytics (or related). Advanced ML skills in one or more key areas (eg, prediction, predictive modeling, descriptive analytics, or natural language processing (NLP)). 
•  Expert in SQL and Python, especially  standard data science libraries and frameworks like pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, Tensorflow/PyTorch, PySpark, etc. 
•  Proficiency in one or more visualization tools such as Tableau, Streamlit, etc. 
•  Expert in data wrangling and analysis of massive and complex  structured or unstructured data sets.
•  Ability to self-initiate and work independently in an unstructured environment and navigate (and structure) ambiguity, taking the problem from 0 to 1.  Excellent problem formulation, problem solving and project management skills and ability to change direction quickly. 
•  Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
