 Our team aims to deepen the technical know-how of the product design organization. We do this in design projects, where writing coded prototypes unlocks, elevates, or accelerates ideas for product innovation, and we build design tools and infrastructure that simplify Netflix's design process.

 About the role

 In this role, you will use your unique combination of solid design and engineering skills and make an effective contribution to  each stage of the product innovation life cycle. You  help brainstorm and then write the code that brings new design concepts to life and makes them tangible for the team. These prototypes help us validate ideas both internally and with  users through field research. You will act as a bridge between the design team and our functional partners and help ensure both design fidelity and technical feasibility.  In addition to  projects aimed at improving the user experience of our product, our team also looks for ways to use technology to streamline the design process by creating internal tools to create a more efficient design workflow.

 From you

 You have a creative mind and a deep understanding of interaction design. You care about  design details and want to embrace the user experiences you create  to make them exceptional. You have an entrepreneurial spirit and bring your own creative ideas to the conversation (instead of waiting for others to tell you what to do). Your engineering skills are solid, but you're never ready to learn. You have a curiosity that drives you to try new technologies, build  new platforms and solve new technical problems. You don't suffer from "analysis paralysis" and prefer to quickly try many ideas instead of  meditating on finding the perfect architecture.

  You like cooperation. You are inclusive in communication with your team and various partners. You are mature enough not to  have an ego, and you receive honest and open feedback as easily as you give it. You demonstrate devotion by putting the right call of the company, team or project before your  opinion.

 what we are looking for

•  An excellent portfolio  of complex, well-used interactive interfaces over many years.
•  Several years of advanced experience writing HTML, JavaScript and CSS applications and fluent in modern frameworks and libraries such as React and NodeJS
•  Experience creating powerful animations online using both CSS and JavaScript
•  Proven leadership and strategic ability to lead initiatives and projects with teams
•  Communication skills to clearly express concepts and evangelize on their behalf
•  A love of movies, TV shows and interactive media is a plus
