 The Starbucks experience begins in our roasteries, where we have a dedicated team of skilled roasters and support process teams including planning, inventory, packaging, roasting, maintenance, engineering and logistics.

 As a production technician, you can:

•  Operate and maintain downstream secondary equipment.  Replenish raw materials with automatic packaging equipment.
•  Respond to  secondary packaging equipment and perform troubleshooting, unclogging and cleaning.
•  Make changes to the secondary packaging equipment and assist the machine operator in changing to the primary packaging equipment.
•  Responsible for quality control of secondary packaging including multi-coding and aesthetics.
•  Assist the machine operator with quality control of the primary packaging, including checking lot coding, aesthetics and seal integrity. Monitor pallet equipment and respond to blockages.
•  Use the super bag charging station.
•  Demonstrate and understand safety as a core value and adhere to key safety principles in accordance with our Safety Resolution; to empower and guide others to do the same.
•  Understand and follow established safety guidelines, consistently follow all safety measures (eg PPE, key tag).
•  Support food safety, legality and quality programs. 
• Maintain product quality by following good manufacturing practices, preventive food safety controls, product specifications and quality procedures. Track and document quality metrics using analytics tools.
•  Perform other duties necessary to support  business objectives and Starbucks' mission and values.

 We want to hear from people who have:

•  Production or distribution environment (1 year)
•  Use of manual and automatic packaging equipment (1 year)
•  High school diploma/GED or
•  years of US military service
•  Basic math skills
•  Ability to follow verbal instructions
•  Knowledge of Windows and Internet environments
•  Mechanical ability to make minor machine adjustments and clear  equipment blocks
•  Ability to perform quality tests using analytical tools
•  Ability to collect, record performance and quality metrics manually or using automated systems
•  Ability to understand written policies and procedures, specifications and safety standards
•  Ability to work in a diverse team environment
•  Ability to work in accordance with safety, quality and sanitation standards, policies and procedures
•  Ability to work variable shifts based on company needs
•  Experience in performing quality tests using analytical tools
