Provides empathetic pharmacy consultation services  regarding the effective use of medications and awareness of drug interactions. Provides preventive and clinical health services, including immunizations, diagnostic tests and services related to patient outcomes. Responsible for ensuring relevance

 Job Responsibilities:

•  Engages patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Resolves patient issues in a timely manner and answers questions to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to provide a distinctive and delightful patient experience, including interpersonal habits that demonstrate caring (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service characteristics (e.g., showing curiosity) . needs and proactive assistance, serving until satisfaction, promoting empathy and inclusion, etc.).
• Maintains contact with patients, anticipating needs and providing services proactively. Leads efforts to improve the patient experience by increasing awareness of Walgreens' healthcare services (eg, patient consultations, medication management, medication evaluations, and delivery of clinical or wellness services such as immunizations, diagnostic tests and patient outcome services) thus contributing to change. . .

• Participates and assists in events reflecting unique communities  as requested by the Store Manager, Health Inspector or Regional Director.

Activities

•  Advises patients and answers their questions about medication use, side effects, interactions, contraindications, patient data privacy, generics, cheaper medications, over-the-counter medications, and refers to a physician when necessary to ensure medication is taken correctly. , health needs  and satisfaction with the service are taken into account.
• Performs pharmacy duties, including compounding, medication therapy review, control and medication administration. Assesses, interprets and  dispenses prescribed medications accurately as workload dictates.
• Ensures the operation of the pharmacy  in accordance with regulations, operating principles and standards of the company.
• Responsible for establishing procedures that promote  efficient  pharmacy workflow, including tracking staff schedules, assigning roles, coordinating activities and soliciting recommendations from team members.
• Responsible for  opening and closing  the pharmacy as well as changing shifts and scheduling.
• Ensures  use of all components of  Good Faith Dispensing Practice when filling prescriptions with state and federal controlled substance laws.
• The pharmacist involved in the product evaluation/retail fulfillment is responsible for ensuring that the Good Faith elements are in place.
• Collaborates with Store Manager to identify and develop new strategic business opportunities. 
• Maintains current knowledge of information technology related to pharmacy systems including workflow, prescription filling, billing, clinical documentation, training, inventory management and point of sale  to provide support to patients and pharmacy staff. • Ensures  accurate processing of insurance claims to resolve patient issues and avoid payment denials.
• Monitors insurance companies and health care providers and conducts or participates in third-party audits.
• Consult medical facilities about prescribed medications, dosages, refills, interactions and allergies to recommend alternative medications and answer doctors. Provide clinical and wellness services such as vaccinations, diagnostic tests, condition management and other health services.
• As a collaborative partner, there is centralized support to register patients, resolve exceptions and help resolve patient issues. In virtual environments, perform virtual product evaluations following company specific  procedures and guidelines. Directs the maintenance, cleaning and improvement of the pharmacy department, including repairs, cleaning, new equipment and layout changes  to ensure a functional, presentable and efficient pharmacy. 
• Prepares, maintains and files all documents, reports and other documents required by state and federal law to conduct the business of pharmacy (eg, activity reports, performance indicator reports, audit notices, deaths, transfers, etc.).
