 The chief architect serves as a thought leader for the company's architecture strategy and planning. Help create action plans to connect current and future business opportunities. Participate in  the development of multi-year plans according to the business and IT strategy. Provide industry leading thought leadership  and facilitate strategic development  across multiple teams/domains. Facilitates the development of architectural models and standards. Consult on the planning of complex business projects - and provide guidance to project teams. Consult on multi-project planning across multiple teams. Manage enterprise architecture models and repositories. Creates communities of practice for expertise. Communicate and market the enterprise architecture strategy. Trainers and supervisors of other IT employees in the field of expertise.

  IT strategy

•  Align the development of core business functions, information resources and technology with strategic needs
•  Collaborate with the business to assess business objectives, identify business problems and propose solutions
•  Architectural design
•  Provides United IT with an enterprise-wide perspective 
•  Leads architectural strategy and design for large programs  and supervises technical staff on multiple projects
•  Model  business and technology capabilities to analyze the alignment of business strategies and capabilities with technology strategy and solutions
•  Break down business strategies and initiatives into actionable multi-year action plans that provide clear direction for execution  to ensure  high ROI.
•  Leads strategic and transition planning for applications, technology, information and business functions across the enterprise

 IT delivery

•  Directs internal and external resources in the selection and implementation of business systems
•  Participate in the design of business, information and technology architectures based on  cost, functionality and practicality
•  Organizational development
•  Maintain communities of practice related to business intelligence and IT architecture
•  Facilitates open communication and fact-based decision-making
•  Research, identify and recommend industry standard methods to solve business and technology problems
•  Assign, define, coordinate and direct the work of others
•  Mentor of other architects
