 Uber's infrastructure team is looking for an experienced software developer to help build the future of urban transportation. Engineers at this level represent two of Uber's top engineers and  have significant influence on many business and technology decisions, spanning multiple projects and sometimes locations. We're looking for an experienced technologist to design, implement, and scale our developer tools and frameworks that Uber developers use to build Uber services and apps. This is a strategic and highly beneficial role as it impacts the productivity of all Uber software engineers, the quality of all Uber products and the speed of our business.

  What you do:

•  Provide technical leadership for the development, evolution, and scaling of developer tools and frameworks that enable Uber developers to deliver code quickly, reliably, efficiently, and at scale.
• Connect with Uber's world-class engineers  to understand how you can improve their development speed and the quality of our software. 
• Work on Go, Java, Android, iOS and web platforms.
• Continuously improve efficiency and reliability  through design and automation: availability, performance, scale, control and capacity.

From you:

•  A developer centric mindset and a passion for building quality platforms for other developers
•  Previous experience in successfully designing and building frameworks and tools spanning thousands of developer teams.
• Proven experience in senior engineering or superior performance in a leading technology company

 Minimum requirements:

 PhD or equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field AND 7 years of full-time software development experience OR 10 years of full-time software development experience INCLUDING 7 years of overall technical software design experience in one or more of the following areas:
