The Content and Business Products team builds a set of tools to scale the functionality of a Netflix show from concept to streaming. We are looking for a Product Manager to lead the development of core services using tools from a suite of content and business products, including asset management, storage lifecycle management, task and workflow management, and access protocol.

 This role can be based out of the Los Angeles or Los Gatos office. We are also open to individuals who telecommute and work PST hours in the US  and require travel.

In this role you will:

•  Develop and implement a long-term action plan and drive products on a paved path, optimizing scale, efficiency and cost. 
• Work as part of an independent team  with experienced engineers to deliver great products to our internal customers.
• Write strategic documents (memorandums) and presentations and present your team's work to studio company executives and managers.
• Work with the extended product management team to provide common functionality and consistent data across our studio technologies.
• Collaborate with corporate stakeholders to  understand and communicate the evolving needs of our studio and partners.

What we are looking for:

•  5 years of experience as a product manager (or equivalent work experience) in a variety of consumer, business and internal services. 
• A strong product thinker who is comfortable navigating ambiguous issues, working in uncharted waters and persistent in unlocking complex business areas. 
• Technical fluency, including the ability to clearly describe exchanges between users, studio managers, designers and design partners.
• Lead taxonomy development  with design (and other key partners) to develop metadata models, tools, and a unified ontology.
• A master of organization and prioritization with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and a strong ability to focus teamwork to solve the right problems at the right time. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to easily communicate product complexity  to diverse audiences. 
• You can build consensus and alignment, but you're not afraid to move forward if critics remain.

 Desired experience:

•  Experience with asset management platforms and/or asset lifecycle development for entertainment
•  Experience working with multiple internal stakeholders to understand the unique needs of organizations to be met in this common sub-strategy.
•  Experience working closely with data science, finance and corporate strategy to define and measure product goals and results
•  Technical fluency and understanding of storage and delivery options, including cost, performance and trade-offs
