  What you do:

•  Transform ambiguous business requirements into mathematical problems and determine the appropriate modeling approach (machine learning, prediction, mathematical optimization, reinforcement learning, etc.).
• Work with the product team to identify and scale business opportunities and shape the team's roadmap. 
• Work closely with software engineers to build reliable, scalable and maintainable solutions that incorporate algorithmic features created by you and other application scientists.
• Work closely with data scientists to find the right strategy to validate business results (simulation, A/B or MVT testing, geotesting, etc.). Lead and manage an applied science project independently. 

 What it takes to succeed:

•  Proven track record of delivering value to organizations through algorithmic feature modeling and development.
• Deep theoretical knowledge and extensive  experience in traditional machine learning.
• Industrial experience in Mathematical Optimization (Mixed Linear Programming, Dynamic Programming, etc.) in a relevant field such as online advertising, pricing and revenue optimization, logistics optimization, control technology, etc. Industrial experience in large-scale experiments, preferably in complex network effects. Knowledge of Python including pandas, Matplotlib, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, XGBoost and statmodels.
• Sufficient software development skills to work effectively  with software engineers. 
• Ability to develop in a fast-paced, high-powered environment.
