•  This position is a member of the Cockpit Support Engineering Team in the Integrated Operations Department.
• Responsible for  maintenance and operational technical support of aircraft and related equipment.
• This role also establishes  aircraft and component standards and helps maintain them within areas of responsibility.

what will you do

•  Pursue mechanical engineering training 
•  Acts as a mentor to other engineers
•  Acts as a coordinator in solving problems
•  Coordinate with manufacturers and regulatory agencies as needed and ensure technical specifications are properly justified according to applicable regulations and company manuals.
•  Develops customized procedures and specific criteria for repairs, modifications, inspections, maintenance and other maintenance procedures not adequately covered by existing manuals.
•  Keeps up to date with the airline's daily activities on in-flight entertainment and WIFI connectivity. Assess ongoing priorities against airline/departmental goals and management guidance
•  Investigates aircraft/component problems that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, significant labor or material costs, or  maintenance disruptions and determines appropriate corrective actions.
•  Provides the necessary technical support to eliminate abnormal conditions affecting the aircraft or their components in order to restore them to operation.
•  Respond to requests from maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is needed to support projects or resolve issues
•  Prepares technical documentation to implement technical measures, providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections or other maintenance activities that benefit aircraft/department objectives and management guidelines.
•  Maintains knowledge of current and pending regulations affecting areas of responsibility and ensures  all design activities comply with applicable regulations.
•  Uses available resources to continuously improve technical knowledge and practical experience. Also tries to improve communication skills, time management and other personal qualities related to maximum efficiency and effectiveness  in the performance of assigned tasks.
•  Actively works with front line  members and managers alike
