The role of the Senior Developer is to lead the planning, design, development and launch of effective systems and solutions that support the core functions of the organization. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues, opportunities or problems  to improve return on IT and business investments. The Senior Developer is experienced and self-sufficient in tasks that require little supervision but general guidance and direction.

•   Leads the design, development and engineering of solutions and technology standards to solve complex business problems
•  Hands-on development, support and troubleshooting of software systems as needed, performance optimization, troubleshooting and tracking of all issues and resolutions
•  Ensures  systems are properly integrated and tested
•  Collaborates with business, support or development teams to recommend system improvements
•  Consult with various United Information Technology project and technology areas to perform resolution, problem management, root cause analysis and  implementation of solutions
•  Ensures  technical solutions meet clients' business objectives
•  Ensure consistency and alignment with company standards and guiding principles throughout the application lifecycle
•  Finds ways to use/influence existing infrastructure and application components
•  Demonstrate prior knowledge of agile or SDLC processes, software engineering, design patterns, integration standards and their applicability to coding and testing cycles.
•  Demonstrate prior knowledge of software engineering best practices such as build and version control, software packaging, and software release control
•  Show that you know how to apply development  areas and specific technologies and tools

 What is needed to succeed (minimum requirements):

•  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field or 6 years of equivalent experience  required. 
• 5 or more years of experience in application design, development and modification of Java-based applications
•  Experience in either front end or back end development Object Oriented Programming Java/Spring Boot, ReactJS, HTML, JavaScript, PWA, Microservices, AWS Exposition native services, Kafka, MQ, JSON, XML, OAUTH, NoSQL database Experience in complete SDLC process using GitHub, TFS etc. 
• Excel  secure coding and timely delivery of quality components
•  5 years of experience in designing applications with design patterns and enterprise standards 
•  5 years of experience in designing and developing relational databases
•  3 years  experience in application development in AWS cloud
•  Exceptional in component and unit testing  following standard practices and procedures
•  Exceptional work problems of a moderate scale, where the analysis of situations or data requires the consideration of several factors
•  Experience working with team members in an efficient, agile development environment where continuous integration and continuous delivery are important
•  To excel in triaging or analyzing situations to support production 
•  Excel with on-time delivery with minimal oversight
•  Effective verbal and written communicator
•  Effective participant in data collection, post-analysis and code review. Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States  without sponsorship
•  Successful completion of the interview is necessary to meet the requirements of the position

 What will help you stand out from the pack (main qualification):

•  AWS experience and/or certification
•  Experience with real-time data transfer techniques
•  Experience with code repositories such as GitHub
•  Experience working with critical systems that require high availability and reliability
•  Air traffic/air traffic experience
