In coordination and collaboration with the Director of Strategic Sourcing, this position is responsible for managing purchasing and acquisition initiatives in support of Disney Cruise Lines. In addition, this role is responsible for managing our Supplier Relationship Program and Contracts and Practices Compliance Initiative. This individual recommends and leads the implementation of category procurement strategies and priorities. The individual is responsible for  business unit procurement initiatives that address supply chain processes and improve  total cost of ownership, quality, service and compliance.  The Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing for Disney Cruise Line is also responsible for  operational support and thought leadership for the business unit. The senior manager ensures consistency of approach and quality/depth of analysis throughout the procurement process.

Main tasks

•  Focus on the  metrics that matter most, which are quality, service, cost and compliance.
• Manage operational procurement teams to deliver the best value for components considering the impact on operations, customers and competitors.  Evaluate total cost/supply chain management analyzes to identify opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership
•  Act as a business partner to internal key stakeholders by identifying their critical business requirements and providing procurement services to meet/exceed their expectations.  Provide rigorous cost and market analysis based on models created by Strategic Sourcing
•  Prepare and conduct clear, structured negotiations according to an established strategic procurement process. 
• Implement cost-effective techniques to increase transaction efficiency, reduce total cost of acquisition, improve quality and increase service levels.
• Ensure consistent implementation of procurement processes in different groups. 
• Identify, develop and implement supplier management, supplier and supply chain best practices.  Institutionalize purchasing performance metrics that demonstrate value and ensure supplier performance.  Ensure compliance and performance  are measured, monitored and achieved
• . Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers. 
• Demonstrate exemplary integrity and ethics at all times.

Undergraduate degrees

•  Demonstrated ability to exceed the requirements of various internal stakeholders on multiple projects.  Ability to make informed decisions in a timely manner.  Ability to present detailed and structured cost/financial analyses.  Customer service and customer orientation 
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• I have industry experience in providing various products and services.  Understanding and ability to apply electronic procurement techniques
• . Experience with AMOS, SAP or other ERPs
•  Deep understanding of external market analysis to ensure the best price/service mix. Legend:
