We are looking for a talented programmer to join the Digital Financial Recording team. We are  part of  Digital Acceleration, which enables digital companies such as Prime Video, Books, Music, Appstore and Games to launch new businesses and products. We are building a next-generation financial accounting automation solution that enables Amazon Digital companies to start fully automated financial accounting on day one while meeting regulatory requirements. 

 As a member of the FRK team, you will independently lead the design and development of a critical path for the next generation financial automation program. You can also influence the technical direction of your team. It is a great opportunity to tackle  very interesting and complex architectural problems, innovate  space and drive product direction. You will work with a team of passionate software engineers and have the opportunity to learn from experienced technical leaders. You will work with  the latest technologies in the AWS, Big Data and Open Source spaces. The successful candidate will have an extensive background in building highly scalable, highly available services, strong technical skills,  motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, high creativity and good analytical  skills.

 BASIC STUDIES

•  3 years of non-hands-on professional software development experience
•  2 years of non-commercial design or architecture  of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability and scale)
•  Programming experience in at least one  programming language

 FAVORABLE QUALIFICATIONS

•  3 years of full software development lifecycle including code standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and user experience
•  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
