 The Starbucks experience begins in our roasteries, where we have a dedicated team of skilled roasters and  process support teams, including planning, inventory, packaging, roasting, maintenance, engineering and logistics.

 As a service technician, you can:

•  Assist the maintenance team and support all aspects of the maintenance department as needed, including general building and grounds maintenance. Assists with  installation of new equipment as assigned.
•  Complete factory work orders and preventive maintenance in an accurate and timely manner.
•  Perform emergency equipment repairs alone and with mechanics.
•  Perform preventive maintenance on plant equipment and complete appropriate documentation.
•  Understand and follow established security guidelines, programs and procedures; and actively work to prevent security incidents.  Support the food safety, legality and quality program.
•  Maintain product quality by following good manufacturing practices, preventive food safety controls, product specifications and quality procedures.
•  Perform other duties necessary to support  business objectives and Starbucks' mission and values.
•  Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

 We want to hear from people who have:

•  Industrial General Mechanical Maintenance and Electrical System or (2 years)
•  High School Diploma/GED, US Military Service or equivalent
•  Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
•  Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal guidance
•  Ability to work in high places with ladders, ceilings, roofs
•  Basic math skills
•  Eye for details
•  Ability to work in accordance with safety, quality and sanitation standards, policies and procedures
•  Ability to plan and prioritize workload
•  Ability to work variable shifts to support the business
•  Knowledge of food safety regulatory requirements and global standards, including Preventive Controls for Human Food (21 CFR 117) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Experience with BRC or SQF certification systems.
•  Higher education in electrical or mechanical engineering (recommended)
