 The Cloud Security Engineer is responsible for the development, testing, implementation and support of Delta's cloud-based security controls. The Cloud Security Engineering team has multiple firewalls deployed for many AWS accounts. There are several different technologies used that support the DevSecOps process. An engineer should have experience  working with Python and at least some exposure to AWS. The engineer helps provide support for  custom AWS solutions built by the Cloud Security Engineering team to support Delta's security program.

The engineer is primarily  responsible for the following:

•  Attend daily scrum meetings and collaborate with other team members.
• Enable, deploy, and  support  custom AWS configuration rules, CFN hooks, and CFN protection rules.
• Troubleshoot and troubleshoot existing drivers. Test and implement fixes and improvements as needed. 
• The ideal candidate is someone with strong development skills but an equally strong understanding of information security principles.

 WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)

•  0-2 years of hands-on experience as a software engineer or  technical designer
•  Experience engineering software on Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure.
•  Hands-on Python development experience
•  Experience with source control, build tools and GIT (GitHub, Bitbucket or others)
•  Experience working with agile methods
•  Experience working with DevOps principles, practices and tools in an enterprise technology environment
•  Working knowledge of the entire software development lifecycle, building CI/CD pipelines and practicing test-driven development. Basic awareness of application security principles. 
• Ability to communicate clearly  with colleagues, business analysts and subject matter experts.
• To the extent permitted by applicable law, you have received or are willing to receive a COVID-19 vaccine prior to the date of hire to be considered for employment in the United States if you are not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
