Full Jobs Description

 The Income Tax  Analyst  primarily deals with fixed assets and leases (primarily aircraft) and is involved in the  preparation, forecasting and state/local filing of federal consolidated returns. In addition to playing an important role in tax law matters, this individual will assist with quarterly and year-end tax matters, including data collection and preparation of ASC 70 calculations and data. The position reports to the Income Tax Officer.

 Preparation of Capital and Lease Tax Working Papers (consisting mainly of aircraft)

  •  Create fixed asset transfers, depreciation schedules and profit/losses with BNA software
  •  Prepare fixed asset and rental tax forecasts for long-term plans
  •  Work with the GAAP Fixed Assets team to obtain information and ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
  •  Work closely with  external auditors and coordinate various requests for information 
  •  Assist in the preparation of detailed ASC 70 income tax  calculations
  •  Preparation of federal and state/local tax returns and work papers
  •  Assist in gathering tax return data, including communication with finance and accounting professionals
  •  Coordinate with other tax personnel to ensure completeness of  tax regulations and compliance processes
  •  Work closely with finance staff to collect / analyze data
  •  Perform tax research, planning and analysis on various federal and state matters
  •  Support various tax studies and other projects
  •  Assistance with foreign bank and financial account (FBAR) reporting
  •  Preparation of quarterly accounting payments
  •  Collect information necessary to respond to federal and state IDR notices
  •  Manage business unit data collection  and meet related internal deadlines
  •  Demonstrate compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Internal Control Guidelines §0

Qualifications

 What is needed to succeed (minimum requirements):

  •  Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
  •  3 years of  income tax experience
  •  Strong analytical ability and work ethic
  •  Ability to independently identify and resolve problems to produce accurate and consistent results
  •  Strong written and verbal communication skills
  •  Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/deadlines across multiple reporting lines
  •  Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications such as Word and PowerPoint
  •  Intermediate knowledge of tax legislation related to fixed assets and lease agreements
  •  Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States  without sponsorship

 What will help you stand out from the pack (main qualification):

  •  CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certificate
  •  Proficiency in fixed asset BNA software 
  •  Experience with  OneSource suite of tools including delivery and fulfillment software
  •  Ability to work with Oracle/Hyperion tools
  •  Intermediate  ASC 70 knowledge
  •  Intermediate knowledge of US federal and state income and franchise tax liability
  •  Experience using Alteryx
