•  This position is a member of the Benefits Strategy and Planning Team of the Human Resources and HR Department
•  You will be responsible for analyzing, developing, recommending and implementing health and wellness strategies to ensure market competitiveness and  company alignment.
•  Additionally, the position is responsible for the strategic, financial and contractual management of  plans and programs for health and wellness providers.

 what will you do

•  Prepares comprehensive analysis of American Airlines' health and wellness plans and programs, health care trends, and develops strategies to influence American's health and wellness plans and programs.
•  Evaluates the effectiveness of service providers and recommends improvement opportunities  and leads to the completion of the implementation of strategic solutions.
•  Manages supplier relationships, contracts and collaborates to ensure proper implementation, interpretation and administration of plan provisions and contract requirements.
•  Monitors supplier compliance and ensures all government regulations are managed in accordance with plan policies and procedures
•  Develops and evaluates employee health and wellness communications and presentations
•  Communicates with union representatives, company managers and represents the company at various vendor and industry event

 Minimum requirements - education and previous work experience

•  Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
•  Proven experience in using data for trend analysis and budgeting
•  Strong presentation and writing skills
•  Desired qualifications - education and previous work experience
•  SPHR, PHR and/or CEBS certificate
•  Experience managing health and wellness plans and programs
•  Knowledge of health and wellness industry trends, regulations and best practices
•  Experience developing health and wellness recommendations
•  Previous experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial dissemination
