 Join  our newest tax accountant and help change the world of real estate, one home at a time. This role helps Sr. A tax administrator who manages all aspects of corporate tax liability, tax audit, tax research and tax planning.

 What you do:

•  Assists with all aspects of corporate income tax
•  Prepare federal and state corporate  tax documents
•  Collect and validate information used on sales and  tax returns
•  Work with an outside consulting firm to ensure returns are accurate and timely 
•  Indicate sales and taxes due
•  Analyze transactions and calculate use tax on purchases
•  Conduct tax research as neede
•  Keep track of the sales and use the taxable matrix
•  Respond to internal and external  sales and purchase taxes
•  Help respond to notices from the tax office
•  Manage and maintain  sales and use tax related tax backend systems (Vertex)
•  Manage sales and use tax audits
•  Prepare real estate tax returns and organize tax audits
•  Prepare and submit state and local tax permits
•  Keep a tax  calendar
•  Prepare your Canadian income tax papers
•  Helps document and analyze transfer pricing 
•  Complete other projects as assigned

 How we work:

 We balance accelerated creativity and innovation based on personal collaboration and flexibility, both inside and outside the office walls. For most roles, our staff choose to work three days  in our office and the remaining two days from home. To apply for this position, you must live at least 50 miles from our Westlake Village, CA office. 

What you bring:

•  Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business administration; is necessary
•  2-5 years of work experience in an accounting or business environment
•  Experience in sales and  tax is considered an advantage
•  Strong analytical skills and proficient Excel skills
•  Strong communication, project management and problem solving skills
•  You must be detail oriented and  able to work independently in an autonomous environment
•  We can take initiative, be  flexible, adapt and succeed in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace
