    Associate, Consumer Credit is responsible for consumer underwriting for Hyundai, Kia and Genesis dealers. This position is responsible for making credit decisions that meet the acceptable underwriting standards of HCA policies and procedures and for compliance with all state and federal regulations. All credit analyst responsibilities must be completed promptly as  per HCA KPI. This position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to a multi-functional departmental structure. All operational division tasks should work cross-departmentally to achieve a seamless customer experience; it also includes supporting other departments  to meet  business needs.

Tasks and responsibilities:

•  Analyze  credit application data using the four C's to make sound credit decisions based on the appropriate agency level while effectively negotiating  loan decisions through dealer  calls or electronic review.
• Balance production, sales support, risk and quality assessment requirements while maintaining established SLAs. Attend team meetings and calibrations to communicate, share trends, review policies and procedures and team goals.
• Track approvals and pending contracts to increase recovery speed and track merchant. You are familiar with the eContract and eRehash processes.
• Conduct customer interviews and surveys as needed to facilitate  credit decisions or assist in the financing process.
• Train and help business people solve financial problems and reduce dirty deals. Performance Coaching:
• Actively participate in training and development sessions/coaching sessions to co-create solutions that improve individual performance and overall department/team performance.  Perform all other tasks as directed.

Knowledge and skills:

•  Strong verbal, written and communication skills
•  Analytical with strong attention to detail
•  Self-starter with excellent time management skills
•  You are well acquainted with the company's product range, reporting and measurement systems
•  Ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate  with clients and partners

 Qualifications:

•  At least 1 year of work experience in auto financing (preferred)
•  Experience in debt collection, financing, merchant services, lease termination or customer service (preferred)
•  Auto finance or similar background considered an advantage
•  2 years of work experience in a fast-paced office environment
•  Experience in business or sales (preferred)
•  High school graduate (GED), college degree preferred
