  A payroll clerk is needed to process time cards and payroll. The successful candidate will have  strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multi-task, as well as an interest in office life and the ability to work well with others. This position interacts with many different departments, so an outgoing personality is also necessary.

 Obligations

  • Make sure you understand union contracts from a salary perspective
  • Review the time sheets of all union employees
  • Process payroll weekly according to company  and procedures
  • Process decorations
  • Answer employee payroll questions and concerns 
  • Prepare weekly profit and loss statements for accounting
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
  • Submit documents and reports as required
  • Other administrative duties as required

 Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills
  • Excel skills
  • Accurate data entry skills with particular attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good decision making skills
  • Ability to multitask under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confidentiality and respect for employee documents
  • Professional association work experience is considered an advantage
  • ADP Enterprise and Workforce Now experience is a plus
  •  High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 years of payroll experience
