 The  IP Scouting coordinator should - above all - like to read books and consume other media! And not only that, but talk about it, have a genuine perspective (positive AND negative) and be able to communicate the material effectively to executives and producers.

 This position is the focus of the international team and primarily manages and improves the management tools and responsibilities of the IP Scouting team; its daily work in identifying and acquiring books and intellectual property around the world; and carry out specific research projects for the team as it grows and expands into new areas and corners of the intellectual property universe.

  We are specifically looking for someone with significant experience in the entertainment industry, preferably specialized or in-depth knowledge of the book/IP to screen market. The ideal candidate is not only passionate about books and intellectual property, but is excited about the opportunity and challenge to help build a growing team and enjoys working in an "everything" team.

 Areas of responsibility and supervision include e.g.

•  Identify and evaluate books and intellectual property (articles, short stories, podcasts, video games, etc.).
• Carry out special projects and research and compile data, reports and lists based on the tasks and interests of the content team.
• Participation in industry conferences, book fairs and events.
• Manage the administrative tools and databases  the team relies on
•  Control of readership of works/IP coverage 

 Undergraduate Degrees:

•  A passion for television/film/folk culture and reading and the ability to evaluate material quickly and with an adaptive eye.
• Basics of the current IP screen market (offers, note writers/authors, exciting books and IP already  developed in the city).
• At least 2 years of assistant and/or coordinator experience in the entertainment industry (book sourcing, film/TV creative director, publishing/editing, media rights representation; a combination of these areas is preferred).
•  A commitment to diverse and inclusive storytelling and helping to identify marginalized voices not traditionally  represented on screen. 
• Experience dealing internally with executives, producers and top talent and externally with agents, writers and industry contacts.
• Proficiency in a  language other than English is an advantage but not required. 
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and  ability to multitask. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
