 what are you doing

•  Collaborate with application developers and architects to ensure  scale and performance of services.
•  Develop  monitoring solutions on top of existing monitoring platforms. Improve development, build and deployment processes on  our core infrastructure.
•  Design and build our platform services in collaboration with engineering teams to facilitate real-time troubleshooting and  response to events and outages.
•   Be an expert in leveraging AWS technologies to build our next-generation platform.
•  Bridging the gap between our core application engineers and our core infrastructure teams.
•   Provide  management capability to ensure robust and cost-effective management of our deployments. Bring best practices and proprietary environment management to ensure repeatability and high availability of all  our development/testing/production environments.
•  Root Cause Analysis Complex problems involving multiple parties, network, hardware and software related to scale and performance.
•   Participate in emergency rotation.
•  Protect your system from problems, whether real, imagined or imagined.
•  We focus on collecting and deriving measurement documents that others can use to build and maintain systems.

what you bring

•  At least 12 years of large scale operations experience 
•  Experience improved services and customer experiences for your supported platforms 
•  Experience in designing and implementing application architecture, including functional trade-offs between different design solutions
•  Knowledge of various aspects of service design: including communication protocols and behavior, caching strategies, and software design practices
•  Experience in making priority strategic trade-offs  when necessary
•  Highly qualified SRE engineers  from junior to senior 

experience

•  Experience in more than one programming language (preferably Go, Python Java, Kotlin, Scala, Clojure, JavaScript). 
•  experience with Azure, GCP or private cloud (OpenStack); namely the choice of platform components and the assembly of the application and runtime architecture.  
•  Experience with serverless framework and serverless architecture.
•  Experience with microservices architectures and underlying technologies. 
•  Experience with container transport and container levels. (eg Docker, Kubernetes, Docker EE, OpenShift, Mesosphere).  
•   Experience designing and developing APIs and implementing GraphQL APIs and/or REST APIs
•  Script and development responsibilities
•  Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Saltstack, Chef and Puppet
•  Build and manage automation systems that maintain system health
•  Eliminate single point of failure and regularly test disaster recovery and HA
