How effective are you in this role?

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Principal Architects, Staff Architects, Staff Engineers, Solution Architects and Senior Software Engineers to create, refine and revise technical functional specifications, system architectures and designs, and contributions to industry standards.
• Provide technical leadership and use best practices to develop our technology solutions in the payments industry
• Collaborate with various stakeholders including technology, product and industry stakeholders to implement changes necessary to deliver product roadmaps and influence industry standards.
• Create an engaging and inclusive team culture where colleagues feel ready to give their best

Minimum requirements:

• Education in Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Systems or similar work experience
• Knowledge of EMV cards and terminals, contactless payments, NFC mobile products
• Hands-on technical experience using EMV specifications, using software, etc
• Proven track record of attracting, hiring and retaining top talent in disciplines supporting "EMV products".
• Thoughtful management, combining technical skills with business strategy
• Strong communication and relationship building skills with a proven track record of influencing and achieving results for multiple partners. Comfortable leading a constructive discussion and a desire to challenge the status quo
• Strong focus on customers and clients with a history of exceeding customer expectations
• Experience in online card payments
• Successful completion of a background check in accordance with applicable laws and regulations is a prerequisite for American Express employment.
